ShoreTel recently showcased its brilliantly simple unified communications (UC) solutions at the International Lawyers Technology Association (ILTA) Conference, held Aug. 19-22 at Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas. ShoreTel has more than 1,000 law firm customers worldwide and continues to meet the complex needs of the legal industry with its business phone systems, applications and mobile UC solutions.

ShoreTel’s UC systems not only provide exceptional reliability, ease-of-use and management, and a low total cost of ownership, but integrate with legal services software to facilitate convenient and accurate processes. Specifically, with ShoreTel LexisNexis Time Matters Integration Application, customers have automated access to client records and creation of phone records based on phone number matches, embedded “click to call” support and more. The ShoreTel Cost Recovery Integration Application combines the ShoreTel VoIP phone system with legal and professional services accounting software, such as Equitrac and Copitrak, to facilitate convenient and accurate telephone time tracking and billing.

“ShoreTel’s comprehensive UC offerings and integrated legal applications enable our law industry customers to gain a competitive edge while ensuring they exceed customer expectations,” said David Petts, senior VP of worldwide sales at ShoreTel.

IPC Technologies also has a long history of serving law firms. In our IPC Navigator magazine dedicated to the legal industry, we spotlighted the solution we delivered for Dow Lohnes, a national law firm with offices in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. Dow Lohnes CIO Joe Craven appreciated IPC’s broad knowledge of the ShoreTel platform, ability to answer very technical questions on the spot, and our focus on ensuring that the system met the firm’s needs.

Here’s what Craven had to say about ShoreTel:

“In the end, we chose ShoreTel technology for several key reasons. First, the N+1 redundancy model provides the uptime guarantee that is critical to a law firm, without the cap- and op-ex expenditures associated to the competitions’ mirrored-system approaches. Second, administration and maintenance of the system is straight forward, and can be handled by engineers who aren’t otherwise involved in telephony. Finally, the communicator software and the mobility platform are both elegant solutions and they have already added to our attorneys’ productivity, and to their service of the firm’s clients.”

IPC engineers implemented the ShoreTel Unified Communications system for Dow Lohnes and rolled out IP phones to more than 300 end-users. Craven was amazed at how smoothly the project went. Dow Lohnes is also utilizing the ShoreTel Mobility solution to integrate smartphones and tablets into the enterprise communications infrastructure.

IPC serves a number of other law firm clients, including Allen and Allen and ThompsonMcMullan. In addition, ShoreTel’s roster of U.S. customers includes several named to the American Lawyer 200 list: Burr and Forman, Holland and Hart, Jackson Lewis, Jackson Walker, Luce Forward, Stevens and Lee, and Sullivan and Worcester.

Let us show you how IPC and ShoreTel can help you reduce costs, increase productivity, improve communications and enhance mobility in your firm.
