After four decades of delivering IT services, IPC launches ‘version 4.0.’

RICHMOND, Va. — Jan. 7, 2019 — IPC Technologies announced today the appointment of a new President and new CEO in a move to usher in the next wave of customer innovation. Effective immediately, Steven Banks will serve as IPC’s President and Eric Bowling as the company’s CEO. Ken Banks, the former CEO and President, will remain on the Board of Directors as Chairman.

“IPC has been steadfast in serving customers for almost 40 years, and it’s time for a fresh move with leadership and the company’s strategic direction,” Ken Banks said. “Steven and Eric have put together an exciting plan to propel the organization and our customers forward with a focus on advanced applications and services around the customer experience.”

Steven Banks originally joined IPC as a member of the frontline customer support team. After several years he transitioned into an account manager role and eventually lead the sales team as VP of Sales. As President, Steven will continue to lead the sales and marketing functions while serving as a member of the board.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have served in multiple roles, and learn the business from the ground up. It has given me unique insight into our customers’ journey, and I look forward to continuing the successes of IPC,” he said.

Eric Bowling recently returned to IPC as the company’s Chief Customer Officer.  Eric will continue as the head of operations while joining Steven and Ken on the Board of Directors to execute on the corporate strategy.

“It’s an exciting time to be in the business of helping customers innovate their own customer service strategies,” Bowling said. “With the proliferation of new subscription technologies, analytics and automations, IPC is well positioned to help customers navigate the field of options and solutions.”

“Over the last 38 years, IPC has had to re-invent itself alongside the technology advancements and innovations within the IT industry. This is our fourth re-write,” said Ken Banks. “Product and price are no longer enough — it’s the experience customers have when dealing with a company that leads to loyalty and long-term relationships. We’re ready to help our customers deliver on this promise.”
