Ken Banks President and CEO, IPC Technologies
Ken founded IPC Technologies, Inc. in 1981 and continues to be involved in the daily operations of IPC. Ken began his career with Burroughs Corp. in 1973 upon graduating from Old Dominion University. After serving in a management position with Burroughs he joined a small technology firm and served for two years prior to starting IPC. Ken has served on the business councils of various technology partners including Sun Microsystems, Dest Corp. NBI and most recently the Managed Service Providers Alliance. In addition to managing IPC Technolgies, Ken has served as President of Pipestream Technologies a CRM software company that was recently sold to Remedy Corporation, now BMC Software. Ken presently serves on the board of the Better Business Bureau, The House of New Beginnings and the advisory board of Needle's Eye Ministries.

Jeff Andrews
Executive Vice President, IPC Technologies
Jeff's relationship to IPC began after meeting Ken Banks in 1980 at a Richmond technology trade show. Jeff joined IPC in May of 1983 as its General Marketing Manager. A native of the San Francisco bay area, Jeff graduated from High School in Madison, N.J. He attended University of San Francisco, Michigan State University and Boston University. Jeff's sales and marketing experience spans 40 years. Jeff lives with his wife Nancy in Annapolis, MD and has also worked with and for a number of Christian ministries and has served on some of their Boards, most notably: Needle's Eye Ministries, Prison Fellowship, The Gideon's, and Justice Fellowship. Jeff is founder of Desperate Highway, books & movies about his life, written for the incarcerated, he co-founded Desperate Highway Ministries, a Past President of the Ashland Kiwanis Club, and a former Sunday School Teacher and Deacon at First Baptist Church in Ashland, VA.

Bill Southers
Senior Vice President, IPC Technologies
After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1975, Bill gained his early electronics and engineering experience by working for Penril Data Systems, Delta Data Systems and Exxon Office Systems as a system technician. The next twenty five years have been spent at IPC Technologies in growing capacities. Beginning as a start-up, Bill helped grow IPC's services business from a cost center to a profit center. As corporate IT requirements grew, Bill helped IPC to stay relevant as technology provided end users ever-increasing choices. Most recently, in order to deliver services in an increasingly cost conscious environment, Bill helped create IPC's Managed Services practice.

Eric Bowling
Vice President of Sales, IPC Technologies
With over 10 years of IT Sales and Operations experience, Eric joined IPC as an Account Executive in 2004. In 2006, Eric was promoted to the Vice President of Sales for the IP Telephony and Service organizations. Eric holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Management Science and various networking, security, and sales certifications. Eric serves on the worship team for his church and is the father of four.

Dannie Lacks
Director of Staffing, IPC Technologies
Dannie is from South Boston, Virginia and received his Bachelors Degree from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee in 1986. After moving to Detroit in 1989 he worked in retail banking and later changed careers and became a Banking and Finance direct hire recruiter. While working for Angott Search Group in the metro Detroit area, he honed his skills and became one of the top executive recruiters in that market. In 2004, he relocated to Richmond to be close to his family and entered the world of IT recruiting. He joined the IPC family in September 2008 as their Senior IT Recruiter. In May of 2010 he stepped into the role of Director of Staffing where he manages internal staffing solutions as well as the staff augmentation division of IPC. Dannie is focused on expanding IPCs reach up and down the East Coast and as far West as Seattle, where IPC recently opened its first West Coast office.

Christina M. Rivera
Accountant, IPC Technologies
Christina, her husband and daughter recently moved to Virginia from their home in New York. Christina obtained a BA in Accounting and Information Systems fromQueens College in 1998. Christina's ten years of experience in New York City most recently includes Senior Accountant for Costa & Ricciardi CPA's. Christina joined IPC Technologies in July of 2007. Christina is the accountant for IPC Technologies as well as being responsible for maintaining payroll and profit sharing (401k) for their employees.

Steve Sarkees
CTO, IPC Technologies
Steve is the primary technical architect responsible for designing and implementing IPC's TechFirst monitoring and management service. In addition to creating a LAN, WAN and device monitoring system, Steve designed our collocation data center used to deliver managed services to our clients. In addition to providing design expertise for IPC's products, Steve provides technical advice and support to our clients. Steve's superior support resulted in a White Paper study written and published by Microsoft.

Kurt Wright
Director of TechFirst Operations
Fourteen years as a project manager prepared Kurt to take on his new roll as TechFirst's Operations Director. Kurt ran major projects for entities such as Philip Morris and the U.S. Postal System. In 2004, Kurt developed IPC's technical support team for its Voice over IP practice. More recently, Kurt provided IT security analysis and advice for a regional banking system.

Michael Weidig
IP Telephony Engineering Project Manager
Michael came from the "white-box" PC manufacturing industry for Packard Bell Computers in California where he was the production line supervisor until 1998. He was in charge of all manufacturing of personal computers. Michael has since been involved in the Telecommunications industry doing PBX and VOIP installations and support for The Rockefeller Group, Gateway Telnet and General Electric Corporation before joining IPC Technologies in 2005. Michael has also preformed many consulting positions as an independent contractor for The Yamaha Motor Company, Verizon Wireless Corporation and LATEL Corporation.

Larry Woodall
Director Implementation Services
A native of Durham, NC and a graduate of Fellowship Christian, Larry comes to IPC with over 15 years of telecom and technology experience. He started in the electrical field in the early 80's and from there he migrated to telecommunications while over seeing the telecom services for Durham Public Schools. After thirteen years he moved to National Commerce Financial as a Sr.Telecom Analyst were he was responsible for the ShoreTel VoIP deployment. From there he moved to Network Communications Technologies where he was Director of Operations. Larry is an avid sports fan, enjoys golf, camping and is active in his church. Has a wife, Bethany, of 7 years and has one son, Cole, who is 5.

Jeff Barnes
Director of Select Train
Jeff is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, with a Bachelor degree in Music Education in 1982. After graduation, he taught band and music in both private and public school. He returned to school for IT, and in 2000 began teaching software applications with ECPI Technical College, and later at McGuireWoods LLP. Jeff joined IPC in 2005 as the Director of Select Train, where he coordinates the Microsoft and Sybase training classes, as well as continuing to teach the Microsoft Office Suite applications. He also coordinates and conducts the VOIP end user training for IPC's ShoreTel clients.

Doug "GQ" DeFranco
Manager of Inside Sales
After graduating from high school in Toledo, Ohio, Doug moved to Tampa, Florida, where he enrolled at University of South Florida to pursue a higher education. After being diagnosed with a life threatening condition and undergoing surgery, Doug turned his attention toward what came natural: customer service and sales. After two years of being involved in the telecommunications industry with Alltel Communications, Sprint PCS presented Doug with the opportunity to join their team as a Lead Technical Support Supervisor in 2003. It was there that he oversaw the Technical Service Department in the state of Virginia, sharpening his technical skills and further developing his sales and customer service techniques, enabling him to join IPC Technologies as an Account Executive in 2006. As IPC's business continued to grow and change, Doug's roles and responsibilities evolved. He has now undertaken the role of Manager of Inside Sales, providing support to both customers and IPC representatives. Doug is an involved father of two, raising his family within the admonition of the Christian faith.

Steven Banks
Director of Business Development, Richmond
Steven was part of the cross country All-Virginia Team for several years at Roanoke College before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University. Steven excelled at delivering TechFirst ShoreTel customer SATs for IPC before moving up to Director of Business Development, Richmond, in early 2009. He currently resides in the Fan and runs competitively. He is also a master fisherman and an A golfer.

Doug Woods
Director of Business Development, TechFirst
Upon leaving the United States Navy in 1975 as an Engineer, Doug continued his career in tech engineering for six years, then began a career in sales with IPC through the nineteen eighties. Doug then moved on to become President and Partner of Datura Corporation, which was a software manufacturer of DBA Tools. His company was acquired by Platinum Technologies out of Chicago, where he spent the next five years as the Vice President and Director of the Richmond Office, until June of 1999, Platinum Technologies was acquired by Computer Associates.

Jim Krieger
Director Business Development, DC Metro
Jim has over thirty years of practical experience in the design/ specification, project management, certification and maintenance of all types of Networking and Electronic Systems that support the transmission of data, video, voice and multi-media communications. Project experience includes education, health care and technology center type facilities. Design exposure involves a working knowledge of multi-phase design projects and associated documentation and milestone deliverables. Jim enjoys time with the family and boating.

Bruce DeLeon
Director Business Development, Baltimore, MD
Bruce joined IPC with over 25 years of telecom experience. He's held various sales and sales management positions with companies ranging in size from small voice/data companies to Fortune 100 behemoths. Product knowledge encompasses network services, hardware and software solutions for enterprise end-users and Value Added Resellers (VARs). He's an ex-USAF computer programmer and is an avid golfer, enjoys billiards and fashions himself as a gourmand.

Dan Sebor
Director, Business Development, New York/New Jersey Region
Dan has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry having served in various sales positions. His experience includes selling to the SMB and Enterprise markets to businesses that include single site locations, multiple-site Fortune 100 companies, state and local government agencies, K-12 Higher Education and Healthcare markets. He provides added value service with extensive knowledge of voice, data and video applications. He has been recognized for his success throughout his career having earned nine company Presidentfs Club Awards. In his spare time Dan enjoys spending time with his family at the Jersey Shore, working out at the gym and pick up basketball games.

Linda Dorsey
Director Business Development, Tidewater
Linda came to us with a 20 yr. background in the implementation and designing process of Data and Voice networks. Representing many Telecom Carriers through Master Agency agreements; she provides not only to her established clients great support with the best network providers for their service needs but also is a great attribute to IPC Technologies clients. She graduated from VCU in Richmond in 1977 with a Bachelors Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design and had her own business in that field in Richmond up until 1986 when she moved to Norfolk to be by the water. In her spare time she gardens; also sails, fishes & crabs with a friend and enjoys walking daily with her two dachshunds.

Mac Smith
Director Business Development, Roanoke Valley
Mac has over 20 years experience in IT, office equipment, and telecommunications sales and support. A graduate of Virginia Military Institute, Mac began his technology career as an IBM cobol programmer for the US Navy Department. His private sector experience includes 15 years in sales of computer and networking solutions to the education market followed by several years as a color products and networking specialist in the copier/printing industry. Mac has been with IPC Technologies for 2 years focusing on IP Telephony solutions in the Central and SW VA market.

Chris Viverette
Director of Business Development, NC: Greensboro/Triad, Raleigh/RTP, Wilmington/Coastal
Chris has over fifteen years in the A/E/C industry directing Project Control efforts in the areas of Higher Education, K-12 education, health care, and industrial type facilities. Chris has gained practical experience in virtually every aspect of technology's impact on the industry. These include the practices and deliverables for: Cost Engineering, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Networking and Telecom support, the implementation and support services for Windows Server Networks, Disaster Recovery, and Enterprise IP Phone Systems.
Chris graduated from East Carolina University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He enjoys time with his family, boy and girl twins (age 3), their older brother (age 7), and a loving wife of 11 years. Any additional free time is spent off shore fishing, hunting, and snow skiing.
