A free phone system?
Problem: The Dr’s Office had an aging telephone system that was hard to manage, expensive to operate, dropping calls and provided no reporting capabilities for managing patient calls.
Opportunity: Upon investigation, IPC also determined that the Dr’s Office was spending a lot of money every month on their after hours on-call paging service. Essentially, they were paying for someone to take a message and simply notify the on-call doctor of that message.
Solution: IPC’s professional services group architected and built an on-call paging application that integrates with the
IP communications system. Now, when a patient calls after hours, the message is instantly routed to the on-call physician, regardless of where they are or how they wish to be contacted (phone call, text page, email, pager). The Dr’s office is now able to eliminate the monthly expense of the after hours service.
A free phone system? The monthly lease payments for the new phone system were almost the same as the average cost of the on-call paging service. Additionally, now that the Dr’s Office has an easy to manage phone system, they will not have to pay high service rates to a phone company to make simple moves, adds or changes to the system. Overall, their monthly expenses have decreased with their new
IP Communications system.
