Ken Banks

President and CEO, IPC Technologies
Ken founded IPC Technologies, Inc. in 1981 and continues to be involved in the daily operations of IPC. Ken began his career with Burroughs Corp. in 1973 upon graduating from Old Dominion University. After serving in a management position with Burroughs he joined a small technology firm and served for two years prior to starting IPC. Ken has served on the business councils of various technology partners including Sun Microsystems, Dest Corp. NBI and most recently the Managed Service Providers Alliance. In addition to managing IPC Technolgies, Ken has served as President of Pipestream Technologies a CRM software company that was recently sold to Remedy Corporation, now BMC Software. Ken presently serves on the board of the Better Business Bureau, The House of New Beginnings and the advisory board of Needle's Eye Ministries.
Jeff Andrews

Jeff joined IPC in May 1983 as its General Marketing Manager, and has since focused his extraordinary energy on helping IPC grow. With more than 40 years of experience in sales and marketing, Jeff brings unique insight into business development, branding and communications in today's high-tech marketplace. He also understands the value of old-fashioned customer relationship development, and spends time each week with customers in Richmond, VA, Washington, D.C., and New York City. A native of the San Francisco Bay area, Jeff attended the University of San Francisco, Michigan State University and Boston University. He lives with his wife, Nancy, in Annapolis, MD, and enjoys golfing with her on the weekends. Jeff and Nancy attend St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Annapolis. Jeff is also a member of the Commodore Mayo Kiwanis Club and frequently attends meetings of the New York City Young Professionals Kiwanis Club as well.

After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1975, Bill gained his early electronics and engineering experience by working for Penril Data Systems, Delta Data Systems and Exxon Office Systems as a system technician. The next twenty five years have been spent at IPC Technologies in growing capacities. Beginning as a start-up, Bill helped grow IPC's services business from a cost center to a profit center. As corporate IT requirements grew, Bill helped IPC to stay relevant as technology provided end users ever-increasing choices. Most recently, in order to deliver services in an increasingly cost conscious environment, Bill helped create IPC's Managed Services practice.

With over 10 years of IT Sales and Operations experience, Eric joined IPC as an Account Executive in 2004. In 2006, Eric was promoted to the Vice President of Sales for the IP Telephony and Service organizations. Eric holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Management Science and various networking, security, and sales certifications. Eric serves on the worship team for his church and is the father of four.

Christina, her husband and daughter recently moved to Virginia from their home in New York. Christina obtained a BA in Accounting and Information Systems fromQueens College in 1998. Christina's ten years of experience in New York City most recently includes Senior Accountant for Costa & Ricciardi CPA's. Christina joined IPC Technologies in July of 2007. Christina is the accountant for IPC Technologies as well as being responsible for maintaining payroll and profit sharing (401k) for their employees.
Vince Smoral

Director of Project Management for ShoreTel and Network Implementations
A native of Danville Virginia, Vince comes to IPC Technologies with a strong background in telecommunication product development and deployment. While at Motorola he specialized in development of networking devices which transported legacy data protocols and voice. Additionally, Vince was a key contributor in the development of 2-way paging at Motorola and holds a related patent. Following Motorola, Vince worked at Advanced Micro Devices where he was Director of Business Development and Operations for specialized low cost computers. Since moving to Richmond, Vince has worked as a Program Manager responsible for Network Infrastructure and Network Management upgrades. Vince holds a BS in Mathematics from Clemson University, a MS in Computer and Information Science from Georgia Tech and a MS in Management from Frostburg University.
Jeff Fehn

Director of TechFirst Operations
Fourteen years as a project manager prepared Kurt to take on his new role as TechFirst's Operations Director. Kurt ran major projects for entities such as Philip Morris and the U.S. Postal System. In 2004, Kurt developed IPC's technical support team for its Voice over IP practice. More recently, Kurt provided IT security analysis and advice for a regional banking system.

Michael came from the "white-box" PC manufacturing industry for Packard Bell Computers in California where he was the production line supervisor until 1998. He was in charge of all manufacturing of personal computers. Michael has since been involved in the Telecommunications industry doing PBX and VoIP installations and support for The Rockefeller Group, Gateway Telnet and General Electric Corporation before joining IPC Technologies in 2005. Michael has also preformed many consulting positions as an independent contractor for The Yamaha Motor Company, Verizon Wireless Corporation and LATEL Corporation.

Director Implementation Services
A native of Durham, NC and a graduate of Fellowship Christian, Larry comes to IPC with over 15 years of telecom and technology experience. He started in the electrical field in the early 80's, where he earned a NC State Electrical Contractors License, and from there he migrated to telecommunications while overseeing the telecom services for Durham Public Schools. After thirteen years, he moved to National Commerce Financial as a Sr. Telecom Analyst where he was responsible for the ShoreTel VoIP deployment. From there he moved to Network Communications Technologies where he was Director of Operations. Larry is an avid sports fan, enjoys golf and camping, and is active in his church. He has been married to Bethany for 10 years and has one son, Cole, who is 8.

Born in Minneapolis, MN and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Adam moved to Virginia with his family in 1984. Adam attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with a degree in Business Information Systems in 1994. Adam has over 15 years of experience managing technology in the fields of Desktop, Account, Support, Networking, and Asset Management. His many roles in the field of technology have prepared him for his transition into Project Management at IPC.
Mark Guyer

Senior ShoreTel Engineer, DC Metro
Mark Guyer is from Dundee, Michigan, a small community south east of Detroit. Mark worked for Daimler Chrysler in Detroit as a LAN Planner from 2001 to 2007. Delta Network Services recruited Mark as a Network Engineer, designing, implementing and supporting ShoreTel VoIP implementations, the largest being Oakland Community College with close to 3,000 IP Phones in 23 buildings. Mark recently joined IPC's Capitol Region team as its Senior ShoreTel Engineer. Mark supports IPC's DC Metro clients and sales force, from IPC's Verizon Center offices at 7th and G Streets, NW.

Senior ShoreTel Engineer, DC Metro
Carlyle Glover was born and raised in South Carolina and his family relocated to Forestville, MD when he was a young boy. He graduated from Largo High School in 1993. Carlyle is a strong athlete and competed in football and track and received a scholarship to attend Juniata College in Pennsylvania, majoring in Computer Science. In 2001, he obtained employment with Verizon as a Cable Splicing Technician and was with them for nine years. Carlyle continued his education while building his career and received a Multi-Certificate in Networking at Georgetown University in 2007. His education and experience helped lead him to other opportunities as a Network Engineer. In 2010 he accepted a job as a Solutions Engineer with OCx Networks Consultants and relocated to Denver, CO where he gained experience in ShoreTel VOIP, Brocade, and other network devices. He relocated back to Maryland in order to be closer to his four children and mother. In his spare time he enjoys singing and directing church choirs, cooking, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Sean comes to IPC with over 6 years experience in ShoreTel system administration. He helped to support and grow a ShoreTel install base from 12 sites and 200 phones to over 65 sites and 1400 phones at a multi-state, mid-Atlantic banking organization. Sean previously utilized his engineering degree and automation interests in the Pharmaceutical industry, testing and documenting process configurations, process improvements, processing investigations, and Factory/Site Acceptance Tests. Sean moved with his wife and two children to Virginia from Pennsylvania in 2006. He enjoys free time with family, musical interests, sports, and other activities.

After graduating from high school in Toledo, Ohio, Doug moved to Tampa, Florida, where he enrolled at University of South Florida to pursue a higher education. After being diagnosed with a life threatening condition and undergoing surgery, Doug turned his attention toward what came natural: customer service and sales. After two years of being involved in the telecommunications industry with Alltel Communications, Sprint PCS presented Doug with the opportunity to join their team as a Lead Technical Support Supervisor in 2003. It was there that he oversaw the Technical Service Department in the state of Virginia, sharpening his technical skills and further developing his sales and customer service techniques, enabling him to join IPC Technologies as an Account Executive in 2006. As IPC's business continued to grow and change, Doug's roles and responsibilities evolved. He has now undertaken the role of Manager of Inside Sales, providing support to both customers and IPC representatives. Doug is an involved father of two, raising his family within the admonition of the Christian faith.

After earning a degree in Business Administration from Mary Washington College in 2002, Eric spent his early career in Retail Management. During that time, Eric developed a passion for training and development that led him to IPC to become the Director of SelectTrain. Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Eric has called Richmond, VA home for the past 17 years. Eric spends his spare time playing golf, travelling, and trying anything adventurous.

Director, StaffFirst Sales
Jennifer is responsible for growing and supporting the StaffFirst division of IPC; the one-stop resource for temporary and full-time staffing with a primary focus in IT fields. Jennifer previously worked for IPC in the early 1990s as a Senior Account Manager after earning a BS degree in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University. From there she moved into regional and sales management, technical recruiting and eventually owned her own business. She brings over 15 years of sales and recruting experience to StaffFirst operations. When she isn't working, Jennifer enjoys decorative painting, gardening and spending time with her 15 year old daughter.

Steven was part of the cross country All-Virginia Team for several years at Roanoke College before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University. Steven excelled at delivering TechFirst ShoreTel customer SATs for IPC before moving up to Director of Business Development, Richmond, in early 2009. He currently resides in the Fan and runs competitively. He is also a master fisherman and an A golfer.

Upon leaving the United States Navy in 1975 and earning an Electro/Mechanical Engineering Degree, Doug continued his career in engineering for eight years as a field engineer and service manager with an office automation company in Virginia Beach/Richmond. He then began a new career in sales with IPC through the remainder of the eighties into the nineties. Doug then moved on to become President and Partner of Datura Corporation, which was a software manufacturer of DBA Tools. His company was acquired by Platinum Technologies out of Chicago, where he spent the next five years as the Vice President and Director of the Richmond Office until June of 1999, when Platinum Technologies was acquired by Computer Associates.

Jim has over thirty years of practical experience in the design/ specification, project management, certification and maintenance of all types of Networking and Electronic Systems that support the transmission of data, video, voice and multi-media communications. Project experience includes education, health care and technology center type facilities. Design exposure involves a working knowledge of multi-phase design projects and associated documentation and milestone deliverables. Jim enjoys time with the family and boating.

Bruce joined IPC with over 25 years of telecom experience. He's held various sales and sales management positions with companies ranging in size from small voice/data companies to Fortune 100 behemoths. Product knowledge encompasses network services, hardware and software solutions for enterprise end-users and Value Added Resellers (VARs). He's an ex-USAF computer programmer and is an avid golfer, enjoys billiards and fashions himself as a gourmand.

Dan has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry having served in various sales positions. His experience includes selling to the SMB and Enterprise markets to businesses that include single site locations, multiple-site Fortune 100 companies, state and local government agencies, K-12 Higher Education and Healthcare markets. He provides added value service with extensive knowledge of voice, data and video applications. He has been recognized for his success throughout his career having earned nine company President's Club Awards. In his spare time Dan enjoys spending time with his family at the Jersey Shore, working out at the gym and pick up basketball games.

Ira comes to IPC with over 30 years of telecom experience. Ira has held various sales and sales management positions with innovative, leading edge companies providing voice/data communications solutions. While primarily focusing on the Mid-Atlantic Region, Ira's sales activities have taken place in Canada, Europe, Israel, Asia and Australia. His customers include Wireless and Wire Line Carriers, Governmental Agencies, Banks, Brokerage and Insurance companies in the Enterprise sector. Prior to moving into sales, he was Director of Communications Software Development and taught computer architecture at The Computer Educational Institute in Philadelphia. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Finance and is an avid Nittany Lions supporter as well as the Philly pro sports teams. He is married with four children.

Linda came to us with a 20 yr. background in the implementation and designing process of Data and Voice networks. Representing many Telecom Carriers through Master Agency agreements; she provides not only to her established clients great support with the best network providers for their service needs but also is a great attribute to IPC Technologies clients. She graduated from VCU in Richmond in 1977 with a Bachelors Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design and had her own business in that field in Richmond up until 1986 when she moved to Norfolk to be by the water. In her spare time she gardens; also sails, fishes & crabs with a friend and enjoys walking daily with her two dachshunds.

Originally from Syracuse, NY, Kevin grew up in north central Ohio. Kevin graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors in Marketing in 1987. He started his career in telecommunications with ETI in Columbus, OH and then spent 10 years working with Ameritech/SBC as a Senior Account Manager handling accounts such as the OSU Medical Center, The Columbus Public School District and The Ohio State University. Kevin moved to Virginia Beach in 2006 when he accepted a job as a Major Accounts Manager for Cox Business Services. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, fishing and sailing.

His private sector experience includes 15 years in sales of computer and networking solutions to the education market followed by several years as a color products and networking specialist in the copier/printing industry. Mac has been with IPC Technologies for 2 years focusing on IP Telephony solutions in the Central and SW VA market.

Chris has over fifteen years in the A/E/C industry directing Project Control efforts in the areas of Higher Education, K-12 education, health care, and industrial type facilities. Chris has gained practical experience in virtually every aspect of technology's impact on the industry. These include the practices and deliverables for: Cost Engineering, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Networking and Telecom support, the implementation and support services for Windows Server Networks, Disaster Recovery, and Enterprise IP Phone Systems. Chris graduated from East Carolina University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He enjoys time with his family, boy and girl twins (age 5), their older brother (age 10), and a loving wife of 14 years. Any additional free time is spent off shore fishing, hunting, and snow skiing.

While his primary focus has been sales, George has experience in project management, network design and management as well as IT consulting services. George is an alum of Notre Dame and earned his Masters Degree from Case Western University. He brings a unique perspective in that he has worked for large companies such as Apple Computer as well as his own entrepreneurial IT ventures. Most recently he has worked as a Senior Sales Executive for manufacturer’s rep group selling Data Center Infrastructure components, focusing on Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to that he was a Sales Executive for a Midwest regional consulting and managed services firm based in Chicago. George has two grown children, and in his spare time he enjoys golf, travel and being a long suffering Cleveland sports team fan.

A native of Akron Ohio, Bob attended Kent State Universituy and served in the US Marine Corps. Bob and his wife currently reside in Charleston, SC.

With lifelong ties to Maryland, Bob resides in a centralized area of the Mid-Atlantic States, on the Eastern Shore. John has also done consulting, freelance writing and blogging on these technologies as well as social media. Originally from Lynchburg, VA, Gary attended James Madison University on a Varsity Football scholarship. He began his telecom career in 1988. Along the way He obtained a Masters degree from Virginia Tech. He was the District Director for BTI in Central and Western Virginia and was later promoted to Greensboro, NC. He and his teams earned top honors by carefully applying technology for maximum impact to their customer’s bottom line performance. He has worked with every level of customer and appreciates the importance that quality service means to any business. Today he resides in Oak Ridge, NC which is just 6 miles south of the Virginia border. His children are active in high school sports (LAX, football, basketball) and he supports their efforts directly as a coach and board member of the NWGHS Booster Club.
